Accommodation

Palácio do Freixo is a hotel, but there are plenty of great places to stay in Porto, and the venue is only a 10-minute taxi ride from the city centre.

If you're driving, parking is available at the Palácio. And don't worry about getting home — taxis and Ubers are easy to come by in Porto, even late at night.

Weekend

We've planned a get-together each day, so we can make the most of the weekend:

Friday · Welcome Drinks

Location: Amura Rooftop · Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

If you're in Porto on Friday, come join us for an informal pre-wedding gathering — drinks and canapés on us.

Saturday · Wedding

The big day, celebrated at Palácio do Freixo. The ceremony begins at 6:00 PM — arrive early to enjoy the palace and gardens, take photos, and find your seats. Water will be available downstairs to keep you cool beforehand.

Sunday · Beach & World Cup Final

A relaxed ending to the weekend: join us at Praia dos Ingleses from late afternoon for a little more sun and laughter. From 8:00 PM we'll be watching the World Cup Final at Restaurante Praia da Luz, a beach club right on the sand — they'll be showing the game, and it's fine to just have a drink. Come for as much or as little as you like.

Our story

We both left our home countries Spain and Sweden a long time ago. After living in a few different places we both ended up in Bangkok, Thailand, just a month apart.

Even though we lived in the same city it took a whole year — and a little help from a dating app — before we finally met.

In August 2024, while hiking through the Hang Ba caves in Vietnam, Emil proposed and Alejandra said yes!

Now we’re so excited to start this new chapter and celebrate with you!

With love,
Alejandra & Emil
